DSMART is a managed application provider for the retail value chain. From the POS system that sits on the retail counter to the console used by the wholesaler or manufacturer, we provide all of the necessary hardware and software. Our core technology allows data to be aggregated from any commerce application. DSMART first applied its model on the retail side and maintain transactional data for millions of live transactions every minute of every day. The source of this data and the core of the ICR solution suite begin at the retail location. It is the DSMART point of sale (POS) terminal that sits on the counter at the store level and provides our current source of data. The DSMART ICR terminals capture the granular, sales data and, within seconds, have it available for analysis by the retailer, the wholesaler and manufacturer. Over time our model will be applied to other commerce entry vehicles including phone, mobile and kiosk. DSMART gives a complete picture of product movement activity including time and place of a transaction, items purchased, coupons redeemed, promotions/discounts offered and means of payment. The DSMART customer can access the aggregated data in seconds instead of weeks or months. Further, the manufacturer and wholesaler can, in real time, push data, offers and promotions back into the point of sale.
