Our POS is a complete retail solution including scanning, multiple payment methods, intelligent pricebook, PLU support and reports for sales and sales tax. Each store and its POS are connected in realtime to the DSMART data center via an internet connection provided by us. Every transaction is captured to our data warehouse within seconds. There are two versions of the application in the POS suite; ICR POS Professionalô for single stores and ICR POS Enterprise Editionô for multiple store operations. There is not a more capable or powerful POS solution available than either version of the DSMART ICR POS suite.
Each transaction at the POS is captured in our data center. This data includes every piece of information associated with the transaction including items purchased, date, time, store location and method of payment.
One of the most unique elements of the DSMART value proposition is the revenue model for the retailer. For single locations the cost to implement a scanning and price management system is simply too prohibitive. The complexity of the typical system would be almost impossible for the single store operator to launch. Cost is also a concern for the chain operator but the issue for them is life cycle management and the ability to implement sufficient analytical tools to make the data relevant.
DSMART is a managed application provider. DSMART provides all the hardware and software for a monthly subscription fee per store.
